Our Keep Kids Warm event was held on November 9th in Montminy Hall, the lower level of Ste. Marie Church on the west side of Manchester. Members of the Society, together with volunteers from the parish, Knights of Columbus, Men of St. Joseph, Holy Family Academy students, and St. Mary’s Bank set up fthe night before to be ready to open the doors. Despite cold weather, the line of parents and children began early and by our 10am opening, stretched outside, down the side of the church. More volunteers helped us register and guide 109 families from zip code 03102 through the stacks of clothing. Prior to exiting, shoppers found tables of refreshments and a table with information about additional services and sources available in Manchester, including toys and gifts for Christmas and clothing for older and younger children.
